刑務所独房の片隅に正座する女性は元首相広田弘毅の妻の幻。
1948年、A級戦犯として絞首刑されようとする夫に別れの挨拶をしている場面です。

この刑務所は来春公開予定の話題のドキュメンタリードラマ映画「南京の真実」のセットです。
監督の水島総氏は、この映画のセットと脚本にかけた調査研究に非常に自信をもっています。

水島氏談
「現在、中国政府は‘日本が虐殺を認める限りにおいては、商取引してよし‘という姿勢です。
しかし、我々はそういったことを受け入れるのはお断りです。虐殺は全く嘘だからです。
政治的な虚偽は受け入れられません。」

戦後の戦犯法廷では、南京陥落時に約14万２千人の市民・捕虜が日本軍に殺されたとしている。
中国側は３０万人の男女子供が死亡したと伝えている。
一方、石原慎太郎東京都知事らの愛国的な著名人の賛同を受け、この映画は虐殺を否定し、絞首刑された者を受難者（殉教者）にたとえている。

水島氏談
「戦犯の方々は、罪を背負って十字架に磔られたキリストのようなもの。
彼らは、日本の良い部分も悪い部分も背負って絞首刑台に向かった。」

１２月１３日の南京虐殺７０周年を前に話題となっていますが、
中国政府はこの映画を厳しく非難しています。
中国は、自国にとっての南京の真実の映画を少なくとも４本製作、半分はすでに公開されています。

Seated in a corner of a mortal prison cell in 1948, here is the ghost of a wife of former Japanese Prime Minister Kouki Hirata, bidding her husband farewell, moments before he is due to be hanged as a class A war criminal.
While the ghost is pure fantasy, and a prison is a part of film set, this is all part of controversial docu drama, “the truth about Nanjing”, to be released to the public in spring of next year.
Director Satoru Mizushima is especially proud of the research he has put into this film set and the script

“The Chinese government’s position now is, let’s strike a bargain as long as you admit it was a massacre. But we refuse to allow that. It’s simple because whole thing is a lie. And we don’t accept politically motivated lies. “

And the allied war crimes tribunal after the world war Ⅱ estimated about 142,000 civilians and prisoners of war were killed when the Japanese captured to the city ,then known as Nanking , and the capital of Nationalist China .

China puts the death toll at 300,000 men, women and children.

But, backed by nationalist figures, including Tokyo governor of Shintaro Ishihara, this film claims massacre never happened. And those hanged for it were martyrs.

“They resemble Jesus Christ who was nailed to the cross in order to bear the sins of the world. They died caring all of Japan’s good and bad parts to the gallows. “

Emotions continue to on high on the eve of 7 0th of anniversary of Nanjing massacre on Dec 13th.
The Chinese government has already heavily condemned the movie.
And no fewer than four Chinese films will be released.
A half has already been released, picking the Chinese version of truth about Nanjing.
